We also visited Fairview Lawn Cemetery today. This cemetery is best known for being the burial place of victims of the Titanic. Of the 300+ victims recovered, more than 100 were buried here. The headstone that reads J. Dawson is how James Cameron developed the Jack Dawson character in the movie "Titanic." He visited Fairview Cemetery when researching for the movie, and discovered the man buried there, J. Dawson, was the only Titanic vicitm that had no family. So he created Leonardo DiCaprio's character based on this.
